CHAOS THEORY

HERE Arts Center, December 18-20, 2018

Jessica Creane (Writer/Performer) is an immersive experience, game-theater artist based in Philadelphia, PA and NYC. She is a professor of serious and experimental game design at Drexel University and she is currently the 2018-1029 Game Artist-in-Residence at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park making a legacy board game about climate change and land conservation. Jessica has worked on Broadway, in National Parks, on mountainsides, and in the digital abyss.  She enjoys making work centered on philosophy, ethics, science, infinity, intimacy, total transformation of body, mind, and space, and eviscerating the Magic Circle.  Jessica holds an MFA in Devised, Ensemble Theater from The Pig Iron School of Advanced Performance Training and a BA in Political Communications and Creative Writing from The George Washington University. She's written eight novels she'll never show anyone.  It's because she likes you.  You'll have to trust her on this or hack her computer.

Joseph Ahmed (Co-Director)
is a multidisciplinary theater artist based in Philadelphia. He wears a variety of hats, from actor and director, to interactive experience designer and circus coach. He is a company member of the Barrymore award-winning physical theater company Tribe of Fools (co-director, Fly Eagles Fly), and performed throughout the region as a company member of Almanac Dance Circus Theatre from 2016-2018.  He co-founded the interactive theater company Obvious Agency with Arianna Gass and Daniel Park, which most recently created Barnes Jawn(t), a commission by the Barnes Foundation. He holds a BFA in Theater Arts from Boston University, and a certificate from the Teacher's College Teaching Artist Certification program at Columbia University.

Amy Shoshana Blumberg (Co-Director) is a theater director, choreographer, and performer based out of Philadelphia and NYC. She has danced new and classic modern dance works by contemporary and historic modern dance choreographers, and has made dances for musicals, stylized classic works, and period plays. Her recent directing credits include world premieres, immersive Shakespeare events, and leftist political theater. She holds an MFA in Theater Directing from Temple University and a BA in Africana Studies from Barnard College.

Evelyn Langley (Costumes and Props) is an Oklahoma-grown wanderer, performance artist, farmer, and maker of things currently based in Philadelphia.  She finds mischief in loose threads and comfort in the humming of an overhead projector. She often wants to be in more than one place at one time.   Evelyn studied Religion & Culture and Dance at Knox College and hybrid performance-making in Headlong Performance Institute. She has been an artist in residence at Bearnstow (2014), The Yard (2015) and North Mountain (2016). She was a member of Almanac Dance Circus Theatre 2015-2018, with whom she performed throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia. She works closely with director & choreographer Arielle Pina--most notably on UNARMED (2015, Philly Fringe Festival & 2016, Judson Church), a performance that meditates on race in contemporary America.   Evelyn also collaborates with Alyssa Kennamer under the name Slow Clutch, most recently performing BOUNCE HOUSE (2017) in a squiggly world made with Hannah Carr and Olivia Gibb. She is currently researching a duet between her own body dancing and an ever-changing drawing.

CHAOS THEORY has been performed in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival 2018 and presented by FringeNYC 2018.
